Students will be assessed on assigned sight words on Thursday/Friday. We have begun learning about animals and their habitats this week. We have learned about the different regions animals live in and what makes those regions different. All of the children have really enjoyed learning about different animals!
As part of this unit, children will complete an Animal Habitat Project. This project will be a diorama of an animal in its habitat. Children have chosen their animal in class and it is written on the sheet sent home. They will need to complete the remainder of the page to go along with the diorama. There is more space on the back of the sheet for the animal fact, if needed. The Animal Habitat Project is due Wednesday, March 30th. Dioramas can be made with any materials you can find at home, they work best in shoe boxes or a box similar size. The diorama must include the following:
